BWELA Event SMCLA In-Booth Giveaway Official Rules

Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011

  I. How to Enter and Prize List

  1. How to Enter – Drop by SMCLA’s (Sponsor) booth located at Booth #112 on Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5.  Fill out an entry form with your full name, email address and Twitter username and drop into the SMCLA Giveaway Bowl located at the booth. SMCLA will draw one random winner each hour for a giveaway prize (see section C for full prize list) to eligible BWELA event attendees who specifically enter-to-win the In-Booth Giveaway at the SMCLA booth during BWELA. See In-booth giveaway rules & regulations section (Part II).
  2. Prize list:

1. Vacation Getaway: Mexico resort 5-day/4-night gift voucher (valued at $839US) sponsored by @markepoliti. Winner will have choice between two resorts: Laguna Suites Golf or Space Ocean Spa Hotel.  Air travel is not included

2. Membership Giveaway: 5 total professional memberships (valued at $100 each). Professional membership with SMCLA is valid for one year per person.

3. Books (Including but not limited to and in no particular order).  Social Media Club Los Angeles reserves the right to change books without notification:

  1. How to Redeem Prizes:  The winner does not have to be at the booth when his/her name is drawn randomly by SMCLA each hour. The winner must pick up the prize before the end of the BWELA Conference (either end of day November 4 or November 5) with the exception of the Vacation Giveaway, which will be e-mailed to the winner. If a winner does not pick up a book prize by the end of the conference, another name will be drawn and selected as the winner. Note: Books will not be mailed to winners.

 

II. In-booth Giveaway Rules & Regulations

  1. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary in order to enter or to win this giveaway.
  2. Eligibility: Members and volunteers of SMCLA and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings) and/or persons living in the same household as such persons, whether or not related, are ineligible to participate. Contest is open to persons 21 years of age or older.
  3. In-booth Prize Drawings and Notifications: SMCLA will hold the prize drawings throughout the day (one name drawn per hour) November 4 and 5, 2011 from among all eligible entries received. The winners will be determined by a random drawing. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners will be announced through Twitter (@SMC_LA) and notified by email. The only prize SMCLA will mail to a winner is the Vacation Giveaway. All other prizes must be picked up at the SMCLA Booth on-site before the end of the BWELA Conference (Saturday, Nov. 5).
  4. General Conditions: ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY AN ENTRANT IS BEING PROVIDED TO SOCIAL MEDIA CLUB AND NOT TWITTER.  Entering to win will opt-in participants to Social Media Clubs local and national Email list.  List Members have the option to opt-out at anytime. If you do not have an email, you can provide other contact information. An individual may only submit one entry and only one entry for a specific email address will be eligible.  Duplicate entries from the same email address or same individual is not allowed. All national, state, and local laws/regulations are applicable. All taxes (including income taxes) are the sole responsibility of winners. Non-compliance may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Return of prize will result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. By entering this random drawing, participants agree to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error in these official rules, or the drawing itself, and agree to be bound by these official rules and by all decisions of SMCLA, whose decisions are final. Winners may be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release.
  5. Disclaimers. SMCLA reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the contest and award the prizes from among eligible entries received prior to such action if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond the SMCLA reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the contest, as determined by SMCLA in its sole discretion. Except where prohibited, participation in the contest constitutes winner’s consent to SMCLA to use winner’s name, likeness, opinions, biographical information, hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.
  6. Winners List: SMCLA will post the winners list on the SMCLA website and Facebook page no later than Monday, Nov. 7.
