Instagram has become a part of our everyday lives – 70 million photos are posted per day on average. On Saturday, March 21, join us at Cross Campus in Santa Monica beginning at 11:30 AM to learn about visual storytelling, and how to build brand awareness and engage your community on this visual platform. You’ll get the chance to listen to and chat with Instagram influencers @Jonathan360, @punodostres, and @casetify.
Jonathan Nafarrete is the co-founder of VRScout, a virtual reality and immersive cinema media publication. He has spent the past eight years in social media marketing and content strategy. Jonathan has a passion for photography and mobile photography, shooting campaigns and social content for brands like Ford, T-Mobile, Sony, Audi, QVC, Chevrolet and Nike. He was named by Business Insider as a “Top Instagram User That Advertisers Are Dying To Work With” in 2012 and 2013. Forbes named him among the “Top 30 Social Media Power Influencers” of 2013.
A creator, digital designer, and entrepreneur at heart, Jennifer Puno is the Co-Founder of Map, an online platform that celebrates people and their journeys. Map allows you to save and view beautiful photos and stories of places from anywhere on the globe, to inspire real world adventuring. You can find and share incredible locations through its like-minded community of passionate explorers.This past July, she also co-formed ilovecreatives, a digital classifieds website connecting talented individuals in the creative community. You can find her in Iceland making Star Trek gifs, out and about collaborating with other creatives, or in DTLA on the hunt for the city’s best food.
Jennie ditched her black-or-white corporate HR job at Myspace, went to Hong Kong and joined a startup called Casetify (formerly Casetagram) as one of the founding employees. Casetify (case-tee-fy) is one of the largest custom phone case makers online. In short, they turn Instagrams into phone cases on web and app. Three years fast forward, she oversees U.S. and European marketing and partnerships and has worked with Snoop Dogg, Hilary Duff, ASOS, Good Morning America, just to name a few. She’s an entrepreneur at heart, and loves to move fast and break things.
