Does it matter how much time or money you invest in production? How do you market and share your video content? Join Social Media Club LA and a panel of diverse video veterans to explore if and when to use video content as well as which strategies you can employ to get your video in front of as many viewers as possible and how these approaches might be applicable in other areas.

Brendan Gahan is a YouTube expert helping Fortune 500 brands with their YouTube influencer and community building campaigns. He was named Forbes 30 Under 30 in Marketing & Advertising, invited to the White House as one of the nation’s youth leaders to advise on how to get the word out about the Affordable Care Act, and was named one of the 25 Top YouTube Business Power Players for 2013.

Prior to Maker Studios, Violet led social media strategy and organic traffic efforts across Yahoo’s top portfolio verticals including Yahoo! News, Finance, Sports, Entertainment, Lifestyles and more.
ROB JONES – VP of Digital Strategy, Edelman Digital LA
Rob Jones oversees video strategy for Edelman’s entire western region and has worked with many global brands to develop content and distribution plans to provide audience solutions across multiple platforms. With a focus on telling a brand’s story and developing an audience on the YouTube platform, he has helped brands like Activision, Volkswagen, Qualcomm, Shell, Axe, PayPal, Roll Global, Samsung, and Microsoft better capture the massive audience of online video viewers. He specializes in content development and optimization strategies to insure that brands are maximizing their investments on YouTube and developing brand advocates amongst their video audience. Prior to Edelman, he worked at Machinima for five years where he ran programing and helped develop the Multi-Channel Network model on YouTube and grew that network to become one of the largest video entertainment networks in the world.

Dylan Conroy is currently the VP of Sales for Channel Factory. He helps generate targeted audiences to YouTube content and build brands and content creators presence through a strong channel. Channel Factory specializes in leveraging the platform to maximize sharing and cross-platform social buzz. He is also a current Fellow with the Southern California Leadership Network and partner in FlashCity.com, which he co-created with Anthony Kostelak. His diverse background has had him working with over 150 Fortune 500 brands, agencies worldwide, Toast Masters, the Santa Barbara Film Festival, PR guru Howard Bragman, the legendary Stevie Wonder, icons like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Emmy winning producer Phil Rosenthal.
CHARLIE CAPEN – HowToBeADad / Director of Online Engagement at 20th Century Fox Television
Currently, Charlie Capen is the Director of Online Engagement at 20th Century Fox Television and is also the co-founder of HowToBeADad.com — an entertainment site for dads, moms, and those with no plans of procreating, whatsoever. Whether serving as a producer over one of YouTube’s premium content channels back in 2011, earning the “Social Media All-Star” award by the Walt Disney Company, five nominations for Iris Awards including “Web Personality of the Year,” “Best Video,” and “Blog of the Year,” or driving viewership online with over 100mm views on YouTube, it’s certain Charlie is on a mission to light the internet on fire as a self-proclaimed “digital arsonist.” Last year, Charlie co-authored a best-selling parenting book, “The Guide to Baby Sleep Positions: Survival Tips for Co-Sleeping Parents” through Random House.
