SMWLAWith close to 1,000 events across eight cities worldwide, Social Media Week 2013, Sept. 23 – 27, is the way for the Los Angeles social media community to get connected, learn, share, and party.

This year’s global theme is “Open & Connected,” and the collective goals of SMW13 are:

  1. Accelerate the progress of communications in our respective industries
  2. Develop new business and personal relationships and deepen existing ones
  3. Connect and collaborate by sharing insights and findings through social media channels

So Much to Do, So Little Time

With all the events, panels, crawls, tours, and parties, the best way to figure out what to see and do is to check out the Los Angeles schedule.

Can’t make it to everything? There are plenty of ways to stay connected all week:

The Official Mobile App

The speaker and venue directory is our favorite part of this app. Event data gets refreshed every three hours. Plus, you can register for events and stream them live! For iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and Nokia smartphones. Download here.

Storystream Feeds

Technology partner Storystream has built out some cool animated social feeds. Connect to the hub stream and find a general feed that tracks SMW13 global conversations, as well as specific feeds for each city.

SMW13 has a brand new Global Livestream Network Page. From here, you can navigate all SMW13 events that are livestreamed.

Follow the fun on and make sure to tag photos with “SMW13” or the Los Angeles hashtag, “SMWLA.”
