Lia Haberman is a digital media marketing expert, strategist, and speaker whose career has spanned stints at entertainment and lifestyle brands such as E! and Yahoo and consultant roles at Riot Games, Dick Clark Productions, and Hourglass Cosmetics.
Lia is currently CMO of Fit Body App, working with fitness influencer turned app entrepreneur Anna Victoria. She also teaches Social Media Marketing and Influencer Marketing at UCLA Extension as part of the Business & Management Digital Marketing program and has taught Social Media Marketing at Emerson College LA.
In addition, she writes a weekly newsletter called ICYMI, which started as a way to help former students keep up with the constant changes to social media platforms and the ways in which people use technology to connect and communicate.
Victoria Mendoza from USC is an award-winning professional with 15 years in digital marketing and communications. Frequently found speaking at conferences and putting on industry events in Los Angeles. Victoria has led the University of Southern California’s social media marketing since 2019 and has almost 20 years of digital marketing and communications experience. She’s passionate about audience-focused storytelling and promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity within content strategy. Victoria has won multiple awards for her social media campaigns from PR News, the Association of Media & Publishing, and more, and is an active board member for multiple nonprofits. She’s a mom of two boys who will eventually be her source of social media trends.
Jenny Li Fowler
Jenny Li Fowler is the Director of Social Media Strategy at MIT. She is in charge of developing and executing Institute-wide social media initiatives and campaigns. She provides social media consultation and direction for more than 200 departments, labs, and centers, and manages the Institute’s flagship Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts. She also leads the MIT Social Media Working Group which has more than 190 members.
Jenny is a daughter of immigrants and mother to an 8-year-old girl and that influences every decision she makes every day.
Nicole Cho from CalTech has more than a decade of experience in social media management and has worked in a range of industries including automotive, grocery, and most recently higher education (first at USC and now at Caltech). She earned a Master of Science in Digital Social Media (formerly the Annenberg Program on Online Communities) at USC’s Annenberg School in 2009 and is a former board member of SMCLA. Cho grew up in West Michigan but has lived in Los Angeles long enough to have become soft and now dons a jacket when temperatures fall below 72 degrees F. She lives in northeast LA and when she’s not working or engaged as a super-villain battling her 3-year-old Captain America, she’s likely to be reading escapist sci-fi/fantasy or doomscrolling on Reddit.
Michelle Reardon from UCLA is a digital and social media manager with 7 years of experience related to content creation, digital campaign ideation and implementation, social media analytics, social media moderation, engagement, and user-generated curation. When she’s not scrolling through TikTok seeking out the latest trends, you can find Michelle on a walk with her leash-trained cat, Ozzy Pawsborne.
